When you are in charge of everything, it is absolutely normal to be stressed – because you are the one to hold the responsibility. Still, believe it or not, it is imperative to collaborate with your people, so that they will not hear and receive your request as a command – but a collaboration between the two parts. These being said, you will be closer to them and they closer to you, which means that you will have people working and listening to you anytime you wish that from them.
- Don’t spy your employees
This is the number one problem any manager starts with. As you were some time ago, your employees are just extremely pissed off of anyone looking into their stuff or for them – and always asking if they finished their job. By that matter, as a manager you should be trustful into their capacity of finishing their job and, also, to understand that it is perfectly fine to get a break from once in a while for a cigarette or for just 10 minutes for a nap. By this way, you will show them you understand them perfectly and also, that their work is as important to you as their breaks.
